Whenever he finally hangs up his boots – and given he’s only 31, that’s still probably a good few years away – expect to see a lot of Harry Kane on the golf course.
Like fellow former Tottenham man Gareth Bale before him, Bayern Munich forward Kane is fanatical about golf.
The England men’s captain owns a stake in pioneering golf apparel brand Reflo and, appearing on The Rick Shiels Golf Show last October, revealed that he has even played a round with 15-time major champion Tiger Woods.
Of course, that’s all well and good – but can he actually play or is he just an enthusiastic chopper?

The answer is very much the former.
Despite a hectic schedule of games in the Bundesliga, Champions League and for his country, Kane has a handicap of three and, during a recent content shoot with Reflo, showcased his stock yardages.
Here’s the numbers he’s putting up with each club in his bag…
• 60° Wedge: 102 yards
• 56° Wedge: 114 yards
• 52° Wedge: 133 yards
• 46° Wedge: 147 yards
• 9 Iron: 157 yards
• 8 Iron: 171 yards
• 7 Iron: 189 yards
• 6 Iron: 204 yards
• 5 Iron: 215 yards
• 4 Iron: 231 yards
• 3 Iron: 247 yards
• 3 Wood: 269 yards
• Driver: 301 yards
To give that some kind of context, Rory McIlroy hits his driver around 325 yards, his 7-iron 195 yards, and his 60˚ wedge 105 yards.

During that aforementioned appearance on The Rick Shiels Golf Show, he opened up on his game.
“It used to be all power,” he said. “I would just smash the ball really far, but then I started working with someone to get more consistent.
“I was hitting it far, but sometimes it was all over the place.”
Even so… 301 yards off the tee? That’s more than decent.
