Lynx Golf has extended its Boom Boom irons range for 2015 with an emphasis on catering for golfers of all abilities.

The company has released six new models, all of which will benefit from Lynx’s Twin Slot Technology and variable face thickness to deliver incredible distance and speed off the clubface.

Unveiling the new Boom Boom family, Lynx CEO Steve Elford said: “We knew from our first Boom Boom irons that the Twin Slot Technology delivered outstanding distance.

“Once that had been firmly established, we wanted to be able to bring that game-changer to all golfers, so we crafted an entire Boom Boom iron family.

“By creating a full family of irons, any golfer can match their game to any of the irons on offer and embrace the technology. No one is excluded. There is a Boom Boom iron for everyone.”

Here’s the low-down on the new Lynx Boom Boom models:

Boom Boom Tour (£629 3-PW)

These irons are designed firmly with the better player in mind, containing a thin top line, narrower sole, stronger loft and lie, chrome finish, longer gold steel shafts and Lamkin grips. An unbeatable combination of distance, feel and playability is on offer in a muscle-backed iron that oozes quality.

Boom Boom Maraging (£649 steel, £699 graphite 4-PW)

Light and thin nickel-rich maraging steel is used in the face of these irons, allowing the face to flex to produce a high CoR in an iron – much in the way titanium is used in modern drivers to increase the ball velocity. Fitted with a Nippon 950GH steel shaft, this is a better player’s iron, although mid-handicappers will also appreciate what it has to offer.

Boom Boom

Boom Boom Ltd Edition Rose Gold (£549-£599 4-PW) and Standard Black (£499-£549 4-PW)

Known as the iron which introduced Lynx’s pivotal Twin Slot Technology, it is designed for game improvers, with both models delivering a combination of distance and forgiveness. The design also suits those skilled enough to work the ball and is available in a left-handed set.

Boom Boom Offset (£499-£549 5-SW)

These irons have the widest sole available in the range, lowering the centre of gravity and assisting the golfer to get the ball airborne, making it an ideal iron for the mid-high handicapper. Straighter shots are a given with these most forgiving Boom Boom irons to date.

Boom Boom LE

Boom Boom Ladies Rose Gold (£514 6-SW)

Specifically designed for lady players, these irons contain outstanding technology with a superb feel in are beautifully finished. They come in a 6-SW combination, although a separate 5-iron is also available, and have easy-to-hit graphite shafts.
