Matt Wallace has the Ryder Cup in his sights. The Englishman picked up his first win on the DP World Tour in over six years in Switzerland, but what clubs does he have in the bag?

After picking up his fifth win on the DP World Tour, Wallace took an early lead in the race to be on Luke Donald’s Ryder Cup team in Bethpage, something which he says is giving him a new goal.

“I needed something like the change in the Ryder Cup points list to really give me a focus,” he said after lifting his first DP World Tour title since 2018.

“Every single week now is, hopefully, going to be like this week.”

Of course, Wallace needed the right clubs in the bag to get the job done in Switzerland, and he has one of the most mixed bags in the game.

With Ping, TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway all featuring in his set, you’ll be hard pressed to find a golfer at this level with a wider variety of brands in play.

Wallace does have a deal though, which is with his golf ball. He uses a Titleist Pro V1x after switching to the ball in early 2023.

“I’m a low spin player so I’m always trying to gain as much spin as possible,” Wallace said of the ball.

“We play on firm greens over here on the PGA Tour. It’s really important that my spin numbers don’t drop too low. I play Pro V1x because it gave me, the launch, the spin, the control, a bit more distance off the tee as well, without losing the finesse and precision around the greens.”

Another thing to note about Wallace is his apparel. He wears J. Lindeberg, which certainly looks the part. His bag is also J.L branded, something we don’t see often on tour, but again it looks the part.

But what about his clubs? Well, Wallace trusts a Ping driver, a TaylorMade fairway wood and a Titleist hybrid, before moving into Callaway irons.

Wallace has used a Titleist T200 2-iron recently, but that made way for a hybrid in Switzerland. That’s likely to account for the altitude of the course, so he could play something with a higher, softer flight.

Here’s the full what’s in the bag for Matt Wallace.
