He is one of the most popular players on the DP World Tour – but what’s in his bag? Here’s the full Matteo Manassero WITB rundown.
Manessero was just 17 when he turned pro in May 2010, and he needed just five months to become the youngest ever winner on the European Tour when he was victorious at the now defunct Castello Masters in Spain.
That victory earned him the Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award, and he added three more titles to his CV over the next three seasons – including the Tour’s flagship event, the BMW PGA Championship, shortly after his 20th birthday.

The Italian phenom was destined for big things, with multiple majors and Ryder Cups not only predicted but expected.
But that Wentworth triump was to be Manassero’s last for more than a decade as he experienced, what he told bunkered at the time, “deep lows”.
By 2020 he was 1,805th in the world – the lowest ranking of his career – but a victory on the Alps Tour was the start of a comeback of sorts.
Challenge Tour wins in Denmark and Italy followed in 2023 and, in 2024, he won his first DP World Tour event since that famous day in Surrey.
