While the Motocaddy S1 golf trolley might be in its tenth generation, it continues to go from strength to strength and it’s clear to see why.
The latest version of the iconic electric trolley has been reimagined, with new innovations improving on an already impressive design. An ultra-modern look, featuring a refined chassis and updated aesthetics, boosts the appeal of this hugely popular trolley, which is the brand’s best selling model, with over 350,000 units sold around the world.
The styling of this model aligns with a new addition to the brand’s line-up, the M-Series, which features a range of compact folding models. This is an automotive-inspired design developed by Motocaddy’s in-house engineering team, who used Virtual Reality and rapid prototyping, alongside A.I. technologies.
“The S1 has been the cornerstone of our range since the original launch two decades ago, and we are immensely proud to introduce the tenth generation of what has become the world’s best-selling electric trolley,” said Motocaddy CEO, John Helas.
“While our designs, features and technologies have evolved over time to reflect modern trends, our commitment to industry-leading reliability and exceptional build quality has never wavered. The latest S1 exemplifies this dedication, offering a streamlined design, effortless usability and the same trusted performance that golfers worldwide have come to rely on. I am confident it will continue the legacy of success,” he added.

Such is the iconic shape of the trolley, it was even the inspiration for the now instantly recognisable Motocaddy logo.
Back in 2006, this was how the Motocaddy S1 looked.

While there are key similarities – both this trolley and the current one prioritise ease of use and functionality – changes have been made to improve the range over the last two decades.
The latest model of the Motocaddy S1 electric trolley is designed with a 1-step folding mechanism which makes this easy to set-up and convenient to store away.
There is also the innovative Click ‘N’ Connect cable-free battery system, which automatically switches off the trolley when folded, with an integrated pop-up charging port for maximum convenience. Essentially, you don’t even need to remove the battery from the chassis, which also means you won’t need to remember to pack the battery when you’re heading to the course.

At the top of the trolley, the new S1 boasts a sleek LCD widescreen display with nine speed settings, a speed indicator, and a battery meter for enhanced control and visibility.

As well as that, the trolley has an Adjustable Distance Control function, which allows golfers to pre-set distances of up to 45 yards. So, if you need to send the trolley to a tee while you putt, or want the trolley to head down the fairway while you look for a golf ball, you’ll be covered.
Additional features include a USB charging port for powering devices on the go, a lightweight lithium battery for enhanced portability, and space-saving inverting wheels to optimise storage efficiency.
Also, if you’re a golfer who plays on a hilly terrain often, then you might want to consider the Motocaddy S1 DHC model. DHC stands for downhill control, and that technology helps to keep your trolley at a steady pace when you’re going down a steep slope. Also in this model, you’ll find an electronic parking brake. This will hold your trolley in place on slopes, so you can focus purely on your golf.
It’s no surprise then that this range of electric trolley continues to be at the top of the market for Motocaddy. After two decades of subtle innovations, the S1 range is now hard to beat.
