Lockwood Golf has launched a new golf apparel range that promises golf newcomers affordable, high-quality apparel.

Lockwood Golf’s first collection, featuring a range of 27 items including polos, jumpers and accessories across the men’s and women’s range, is hoping to redefine on-course fashion with a fresh, modern approach.

Powered by Kitlocker, the emerging clothing brand will offer bespoke and unique customisation to their products for individuals, societies and golf clubs.

Lockwood Golf was created between three colleagues working at Sheffield-based kit supplier Kitlocker, who have developed a range of apparel that is accessible to golfers of all levels, appealing to players who appreciate both performance and style.

The original concept for the brand comes from Oli Brierley, Head of Marketing at Kitlocker.com. A relative newcomer to the sport, he found himself transitioning from public to private courses, where stricter dress codes applied. He realised many newcomers to golf were unfamiliar with some traditional attire expectations, while the sport had relaxed its apparel rules to appeal to new players.

Unable to find suitable options that blended modern style with course-approved attire, he saw an opportunity and Lockwood Golf was born – made for the new adopters, by the new adopters.

Brierley leveraged his role to identify and develop this new brand, with co-founders Mike Kent and Tom Ward in full support of his intrapreneurial spirit. Through his expertise in marketing and brand development, he successfully transformed an internal idea into a full product line.

“Lockwood Golf started as a conversation about polos and belt-looped shorts, but it quickly became much more,” he said. “We realised there was a gap in the market for apparel that speaks to the new generation of golfers, those who appreciate tradition but want to bring their own style and attitude to the game.

“It’s been an incredible effort to get it to this stage and I couldn’t have done it without the rest of the team, and the support of Mike and Tom.

“The name Lockwood is the maiden name of my mother, so it’s got an extra meaning to me. We’re all so excited to launch and cannot wait to hear what customers think about the brand – we believe what we are offering is brand new and not already on the market.”

With a carefully curated range of apparel that blends classic silhouettes with modern aesthetics, Lockwood Golf is here to outfit the next wave of golfers who demand more from their clothing, both in performance and design.

Whether it’s for a quick nine holes after work or a weekend round at a premier course, Lockwood Golf ensures players look and feel their best on and off the course.

The full range is available to purchase now. Head to the Lockwood Golf website to explore the brand’s first collection.
