Nike Golf Club: Ryder Cup lifestyle gear

• Nike has released its latest collection of lifestyle apparel
• It features specific designs for US and European Ryder Cup fans

Nike has revealed the latest way to show your support during Ryder Cup week with the unveiling of its new Nike Golf Club ‘Charge the Cup’ collection.

The range has been designed for ‘off-course style with on-course functionality’, ensuring it fits perfectly into Nike Golf Club’s lifestyle clothing line.

The Nike Golf Club collections were first launched last year with the aim of producing apparel that works as well on the course as it does everywhere else. At the time, Nike said: “If you wouldn’t wear it to meet your friends, you won’t find it here.”

The Nike Classic 99 hat, Nike TR Dry Blade polo and much more are featured in the ‘Charge the Cup’ collection, with Nike saying each piece celebrates a part of Ryder Cup history. The range also includes separate designs for those who will be supporting the United States and those backing Europe.

According to the brand, the new Nike Golf Club ‘Charge the Cup’ collection sees the US team represented by the stars and stripes with the number seven featuring to celebrate the team’s seven Ryder Cup wins since 1979.

For the European team, Nike has included a bold ten and a hidden 11 in the graphic to ‘toast the reigning champs’ and honour their prior victories.

Nike staffers Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka will both be featuring at Hazeltine, with McIlroy describing playing in the Ryder Cup as ‘one of the best experiences I’ve had on a golf course’.

Koepka, meanwhile, is making his Ryder Cup debut and he added: “I’ve been watching the Ryder Cup ever since I was a kid and it’s always been a goal of mine to earn a spot on Team USA.

“I’m excited to finally have the opportunity to represent my country and I will do whatever I can to help our team win the cup.”
