Making golf easier is at the top of every equipment brand’s agenda right now, and that’s no different with the teams at Callaway and Topgolf.

Today, the leader in modern golf entertainment has launched a club, in collaboration with Callaway, that aims to make hitting the ball much easier, and more enjoyable for players just starting in the game.

That club is the Sure Thing, which features some interesting innovations, designed to make hitting the ball a, well, sure thing.

The bit of kit, which isn’t for sale and can only be used at Topgolf venues, features a much larger than normal clubface. This is going to result in players making contact with the ball much more often.

As well as that, this club has 20 degrees of loft, making it super high launching. For context, most drivers have around ten degrees of loft, so you’re going to see a big difference with this in your hands.

It’s also got a shorter than standard shaft to give you more control when you’re swinging.

“The world needs more play in it and The Sure Thing offers a chance for all players to have fun at Topgolf, regardless of skill level,” said Michael Angelides, Senior Director of International Marketing at Topgolf.

“We want everyone to experience the thrill of making contact with the ball and The Sure Thing will provide players of all abilities with that opportunity,” added Angelides.

“Making golf more attractive to more people goes hand-in-hand with making the game easier, and launching The Sure Thing club with beginners in mind is our way of helping to make that happen.”

So, if you’re a beginner who is struggling to make contact every time, then this club is for you. However, even if you’re a seasoned player, there’s no doubt this super high lofted wood is going to give you something different at your next Topgolf visit.
