Nobody makes putters like Ping.
The brand that brought you the Anser consistently produces fantastic flat-sticks, which perfectly fuse stunning looks with industry-leading performance.
That’s why today is a good day.
Ping has pulled the covers off of three new additions to its PLD Milled line-up.
PLD – or Putting Lab Design to give it its Sunday name – is comprised of tour-validated models, each of which is milled to perfection from 303 forged stainless steel and custom built to fit your game.
This year’s collection comes with a satin finish – a change from the black of the previous PLD range – and, whilst they are all blades, each one caters for a different type of stroke.
Let’s take a closer look…
Ping PLD Milled Anser 30
A precision-milled version of the classic Anser with heel-toe weighting for stability and a high MOI, the PLD Milled Anser 30 also a longer hosel that achieves a 30-degree toe-down angle.
A golfer who plays a slight-arc blade and has a right-miss tendency will have an easier time squaring up the face at impact. The shallow milled face, meantime, ensures a firmer feel and consistent ball speeds.
PLD Milled Anser 4D
A deeper perimeter-weighted blade design which has the look and feel of a traditional Anser but with the added weight, forgiveness and accuracy of a mid-mallet.
The Anser 4D has clean heel-toe ballasts and less-rounded corners, whilst the ball-width cavity with alignment line creates a confidence-inspiring look. As with the Anser 30, the shallow-milled face delivers a firmer feel and consistent ball speeds.
PLD Milled Kushin
A precision-milled blade which is wider-bodied and has perimeter weighting for a high MOI. It has a symmetrical appearance and is face-balanced to assist golfers with a straight back and through stroke type.
It also features a ball width back cavity with an alignment line to make aiming that bit easier, all of which is finished with a shallow-milled face to deliver firmer feel and consistent ball speeds.
Conclusion
There’s no denying these putters look great with their satin finish and the shallow milling will ensure they feel that little bit firmer. With three head shapes, there’s a model for every stroke type. Yes, indeed, there’s a lot to like.
