Ram Golf’s new Axial forged irons deliver in looks, performance and price.

Ram have produced some great and very affordable irons in the past and now they have released there latest offering in a blade.

The new Ram Axial iron is not going to break the bank, looks clean at address, and has the performance qualities of a player’s distance iron in a bladed shape.

The Looks

For a set of irons that only cost £399.99, the Ram Axial irons look the part. The head shape is nice and compact with a top line that is pleasing on the eye. They also have great aesthetic appeal when sitting in your golf bag.

The Tech

Blades are often seen as harder to hit, but with modern tech, we now see them designed with a combination of materials that give extra yardage and forgiveness. The Axial iron’s compact muscleback head combines with its enlarged sweetspot to create enhanced yardage while delivering a buttery soft feel and exceptional flight and spin control.

This player’s forged blade offers a low offset, a CNC milled head for consistent performance and a head design which helps promote a lower centre of gravity. What you also have with the Axial irons is a multi-surface sole which allows for cleaner turf interaction – no matter the lie. The lofts are slightly stronger than standard with the PW coming in 44 degrees and the 4-iron sitting at 21 degrees. This is why you’ll see longer distances with that a slight reduction in spin.

The Verdict

You can’t fault the price point on these Ram Axial irons. They look great. They may not have all the bells and whistles in comparison to other leading brands but the performance and what you want from a blade is all there. We can’t wait to get our hands on these soon and give you the in-depth review. Stay tuned.

RRP: £399.99
