Callaway Ai Smoke Fairway 14 golf stand bag review

If you’re looking for a new golf bag that can be carried or put on a trolley or cart, the Callaway Ai Smoke Fairway 14 stand bag could be for you.

Choosing the right golf bag is like trying to find the right pair of shoes. There’s always a lot of choice and it’s hard to make a decision.

But, if you’re in the market for a new bag, this one should be near the top of your wish list. The Callaway Ai Smoke Fairway 14 stand bag is definitely one you need to check out went looking for a new bag as it has great features, tech and looks good as well.

The First Look

Looks wise, the Callaway Ai Smoke Fairway 14 is in keeping with Ai Smoke colourway, as you would expect. That’s certainly not a bad thing. It’s got a blue, white and smokey grey finish.

So, if you’re a Callaway loyalist it can go nicely with your Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke headcovers. It’s also a bag you’ll look at and think that is pretty solid and robust as it’s maybe a little larger than other stand bag options.

You’ll also notice it has loads of pockets to store all the essentials and more.

The Tech

Let’s dive into it.

The stand is solid with a Flex Pod System which is great when sitting your clubs down no matter the surface. It’s got 14 rubberised dividers which makes it easier to take your clubs in and out and stop them clanking together as much. The Anatomic Strap system has Eva moulded padding for comfort and a 3D Moulded puck allowing you to adjust to the straps to your liking.

The hip padding which sits on your lower back is oversized, giving you more comfort when carrying it. The bag also only weighs 6lbs, so it’s nice and lightweight. Storage wise there is a total of ten pockets, and it has a waterproof pocket to keep your phone, keys and valuables protected from the elements.

If you play on a course where you want to put the bag on an electric trolley or chuck your clubs on a golf cart the bag is compatible thanks to the Lowrider 2.0 top design. This rubber design will hold your bag in place for a perfect fit and keep your clubs solid and secure.

The bunkered verdict

As someone who carries their golf bag a lot and also uses a golf cart, this is a great bag.

Not only is it lightweight but it fits perfectly on a golf cart and doesn’t crash around nearly as much as a regular stand bag. I personally like the versatility of it as it’s great for carrying and also perfect for a trolley or cart.

I’ve never had a bag with 14 dividers in it before but I have to say, it really is great for keeping everything better organised. It’s about the closest I’ll get to using iron head covers when it comes to organisation.

Overall, this is a great, lightweight and versatile option that has all the storage and organisation you could ask for. If the Ai Smoke colour isn’t for you there are a bunch of other colour options to choose from too.
