The Golfstream GX3 is simple, affordable and will appeal to the golfers who are after an electric trolley that is price sensitive.

Electric trolleys can be pricey but if you’re on a budget, Golfstream could be a great place to look.

The new Golfstream GX3 starts at £429 and it comes with some very cool features.

The First Look

Formerly the Golfstream Vision, the new GX3 has been upgraded with a new all-black chassis featuring orange accents and an ergonomic handle. It now includes black quick-release wheels with treaded tyres, a high-quality colour LCD screen with a robust protective cover with updated graphics, and purpose-designed pull handles.

The Tech

With an effortless one-touch folding mechanism, the GX3 makes setting up and storing quick and convenient. The lightweight, compact design ensures they can be transported easily, folding down to be among the most space-efficient electric trolleys on the market.

The GX3 uses side arms rather than the traditional central spine, significantly reducing any ‘bag wobble’ on uneven terrain. Additionally, all three trolleys come with a non-clogging front wheel and detachable main wheels, simplifying cleaning and maintenance.

Golfstream trolleys are powered by an 18-hole lithium CaddyCell LifePO4 battery as standard, driving a 230V whisper-quiet motor that effortlessly handles any terrain. For golfers seeking extended play time, a 36-hole battery option is available, ensuring uninterrupted performance across multiple rounds.

Customisability is another hallmark of Golfstream’s rebrand, with a variety of new colour schemes available, including fuchsia, yellow, blue, red, teal, and green.

Golfstream also offers a full range of accessories, such as umbrella holders, drink holders, GPS/phone holders, carry bags, and scorecard holders, to further enhance the golfing experience.

The bunkered verdict

If you’re wanting to an electric trolley but are on a budget, this Golfstream GX3 trolley is ideal. It’s simple to fold up and down, easy to navigate and it ticks all the boxes. A nice feature is being able to set the distance to ten, 20 and 30 yards, so if you want to fire it up the fairway you can. Now in terms of compactness, it’s not the most compact option on the market, but with a price £429 without a battery, and only £499 with an 18-hole lithium battery, that can be overlooked. It’s ideal if you’re wanting a trolley that goes from A to B, and with it handling the terrain well, the downhill control it’s great. This is a superb electric trolley if you’re on a budget.
