Is this the equivalent of a remote-control car for adults? Here’s how I got on with the Motocaddy M7 GPS Remote electric golf trolley.
After a few new upgrades, the Motocaddy M7 GPS Remote is a standout in its class for a number of reasons. One is the new look, two is the on course features and three is it’s a remote-controlled electric trolley. What’s not to love? Here’s the details.
The First Look
The new trolley design features an automotive-inspired design with the new CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT cable-free Lithium battery. This is a lightweight, powerful battery incorporating patented auto-disconnect technology that automatically powers off the trolley when folded, plus a revolutionary pop-up port for quick and easy charging.
You also have the ergonomic handles and low-profile aerodynamic tyres with an all-terrain tread and a lifetime access to stunning full-hole GPS mapping with precise distances and movable target for ultimate shot planning.
At the back you have the new retractable rear anti-tip stabilising wheel which can remain attached for folding.
From the LCD Touch Screen, to the sleek design, this trolley looks the part.

The Tech
When it comes to the tech, the standout features in the M7 GPS Remote trolley include the ultra-responsive remote navigation, cutting-edge GPS technology, Bluetooth smartphone alerts, plus super-fast WiFi for firmware and course updates showcased on a crystal-clear 3.5″ LCD touchscreen display.
It comes equipped with 40,000 pre-loaded courses with the smart GPS system providing a free lifetime access to high resolution full-hole mapping with precise distances to the front, middle, and back of the green, along with essential hazard information.

The advanced software includes a Dynamic Green View, displaying the shape of the green being played, and allows drag-and-drop pin positioning for precise approach shot planning. Also included is shot measurement, score and stat tracking for game analysis through the Motocaddy app, an on-screen clock and a round timer to support pace-of-play.
The remote control allows golfers to switch effortlessly between remote control and handle control modes at the push of a button.
The bunkered Verdict
Taking this trolley out for a spin was probably the most fun I’ve had on a golf course in a while. The remote control just makes this so much fun to use. You can send your trolley as far as 100 yards up the fairway, you can get it to stop, go left, turn right. You’re in total control of where your clubs are heading at all times.
On top of that, we have the GPS screen which is fast and gives you all the information you need to hit the next shot. You’ve got distances to hazards off the tee, yardages to front, middle and back of the green. The green view is great as it allows you to move the pin to get accurate yardages and you can track your score with a digital scorecard. And, these features are pre-loaded to over 40,000 golf courses, so you’re sure to get the information you need.
This is like a remote-control car, but for adults! Again, the remote makes it so easy to control this trolley, but you’ll find yourself having fun with it too. What’s more, it can handle any terrain with great DHC control and the anti-tip wheel tackling any incline, you’ll have the confidence to send it 100 yards down the fairway.
Whether you have an electric trolley already and you’re looking at the next step-up, or you’re looking for a trolley that has all the bells and whistles, the Motocaddy M7 GPS Remote ticks the boxes.
It makes your round of golf a lot of fun, but will also help your scores too. There’s a caddie at your fingertips, giving you the yardages to the hazards and to the pin so you can play as conservatively or aggressively as you like. It’s a must try.
