PING has expanded its range of golf bags by introducing the Moonlander, ideal for golfers who value simplicity, performance and refined style.

Choosing a golf bag can be pretty difficult as there are so many to choose from, but if you just want a simple carry bag that’s affordable and lightweight with a stand, then this one could be for you.

PING is also rolling out fresh colourways across its full carry bag collection, as well as limited-edition Gradient Mr. PING designs in the Hoofer 14 and Moonlite models – marking the start of the 2025 golf season with bold innovation and eye-catching details across the board – with even more to come.

The First Look

It’s not the biggest bag, but that’s perfect if you want to carry. It’s got more than enough pockets for storage and the colourways on offer are brilliant. You have the choice to switch between single and double carry options. Available in different colour options, including a repeat Mr. PING and camouflage pattern, each style adds a touch of personality.

The Tech

The Moonlander is the newest addition in Ping’s bag range with all new colours way coming in the Moonlite and Hoofer 14 bags. But how do these bags differ?

Ping Moonlander

Brand new for 2025, the Moonlander has been engineered for purists who favour walking the course and carrying only what’s essential. Weighing just 4.5lbs, the bag features a clean, minimalist aesthetic and six thoughtfully designed pockets, offering ample space for a rangefinder, water bottle, and light apparel. With convertible straps, the Moonlander easily switches between single and double carry options.

Ping Moonlite

Ideal for quick rounds, par-3 courses, or trips to the range, the Moonlite remains PING’s lightest bag at just 2lbs. Designed to carry seven to nine clubs, the bag includes three practical pockets, including an insulated water bottle holder and a dedicated rangefinder pocket. Compact yet capable, the Moonlite delivers functionality without the bulk.

PING Limited Editions

To celebrate the return of the golf season, PING has unveiled limited-edition Gradient Mr. PING designs for both the Hoofer 14 and Moonlite models. These exclusive styles reflect the vivid colours of sunrise and sunset – a nod to early tee times and twilight rounds.

The bunkered verdict

I tested the Ping Moonlander bag out in Arizona and it’s great if you want to carry. It’s very light, stable and makes carrying seem very simple and easy. The straps are very comfortable, there’s no digging into your shoulders and you can adjust them to a single strap or a double strap if you choose to do. There’s plenty of storage for all your essentials and layering pieces and on top of that the colourway options are brilliant. The stand is solid, well made and for £149 it’s a great price if your looking carry and walk the course. With lighter options, and larger options with exclusive patterns,  you are spoilt for choice.
