If you’ve already read (or watched) our Srixon ZXi drivers review, you’ll know just how excited we are about them.

It’s a similar story with the fairway woods and hybrids.

Until now, Srixon has typically made these clubs with a fixed hosel design. Basically, one model to fit everybody.

That’s all changed with the ZXi line-up.

Let’s take a closer look...

The Looks

Just like the drivers, the ZXi fairways and hybrids look fantastic: traditional, not too big, and sit nice and tight to the ground. The matte black crown is particularly pleasing on the eye, reducing glare and framing the ball nicely. There’s a look to like here.

The Tech

Again, like the drivers, the ZXi fairways and hybrids feature the new i-Flex face design. This gives you fast ball speeds, stability on mishits, and, basically, phenomenal performance. But, like we mentioned above, the big talking point here is the new adjustable hosel. A first for Srixon fairways and hybrids, it offers 1.5˚ of variation, allowing you to really dial in the launch characteristics you like.

In the fairway woods specifically, a strong, lightweight carbon crown positions the mass low and maximises the COR, while the stepped crown design lowers the centre of gravity. What does that mean? Simple: higher, longer shots.

Srixon aficionados or gear nuts with a keen eye for detail might also notice that both the fairway woods and the hybrids have a new shape.

The former has changes to the leading-edge and an improved sole shape for increased forgiveness, while the ZXi hybrids have a larger head, while the toe and back sides are also slightly larger than the previous generation to up the ante on the forgiveness and confidence fronts.

You might also hear your fitter talking about the Rebound Frame in these clubs. That exists to create more power using its unique two-zone system, maximising flex across for more ball speed and distance.

The verdict

I loved the ZXi drivers so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that I can’t get enough of the ZXi fairways and hybrids, too. For a start, they’re great to look at. I love the design, the new shaping… everything about it, basically. The tech – particularly that i-Flex face and the Rebound Frame – are just terrific and do exactly what they say they will.

If you’re in the market for something new at the business end of your bag, I cannot recommend these highly enough. They are outrageously easy to hit and, now with added adjustability, you are able to fine-tune them to your own exact spec.

Seriously, just go and hit them. You’ll be very impressed.
