The 2025 TaylorMade Tour Response has new brighter colours and some of the same tech as the TP5 and TP5x golf balls.

TaylorMade had great success with the Tour Response golf ball, especially with the Stripe, in 2024. It has that great alignment aid to help line up putts but not only that, the balls had the tour level feel and performance.

But TaylorMade has taken the new TaylorMade Tour Response and Tour Response Stripe to another level.

First Look

The new Tour Response ball will continue to come in white and yellow, however the Tour Response Stripe has a new Hi-Vis 360 ClearPath Alignment.

If you’re unfamiliar with this alignment aid, it is a 22mm 360° ClearPath Alignment stripe. Its digital band wraps around the centre of the ball to help you aim better, giving instant feedback on the quality of the roll.

What makes this really stand out, however, is the pink option. That’s certainly going to turn heads.

The Tech

If you’ve played the TaylorMade TP5 or TP5x golf balls, you might have heard of the Speed Wrapped core. This is now available in the Tour Response balls. This essentially helps provide better acoustics, faster speed and far more distance.

Another new addition to the Tour Response, surrounding the Speed Wrapped Core is the new SpeedMantle. This has a high-flex material that allows the ball to interact more with the face, further enhancing both ball speed and soft feel. It’s designed to help golfers hit the ball farther while also giving spin, feel and control on short shots where it’s needed most.

You have a 100% cast urethane cover for added spin and greenside control compared to ionomer. The soft material allows wedge grooves to grip the ball while also maintaining durability.

Also, in line with TP5 and TP5x, the Tour Response balls feature TaylorMade’s Tour Flight Dimple Pattern. This dimple design delivers distance, ball speed and aerodynamics. In the all-new Tour Response, it promotes shots that come off the face fast, carry, and better stability in those windy conditions.

The bunkered Verdict

I was lucky enough to see this new ball in person and the new neon colours look brilliant on the TaylorMade Tour Response Stripe. It’s bright, vibrant stands out and makes lining up those putts really easy.

The feel of the Tour Response is great and the distance is brilliant. I hit these balls at The Kingdom, TaylorMade HQ and a loved it. It’s long and a little bit lower in spin compared to the TP5 and TP5x balls and ever so slightly slower in ball speed. It spins great and on those shorter approach shots you get great control.

As you might expect, it won’t spin as much as the TaylorMade TP5 or TP5x, so you might not get as much control, but it’s a great option if you want a premium ball that isn’t as expensive.
