The name hasn’t changed but the looks and range is certainly different. The new Wilson Dynapwr drivers are going to turn heads in 2025.

I know what you’re thinking. You thought Wilson drivers were called Dynapwr already. Well, you would be correct, however, this is a new and improved Dynapwr range with the addition of a new model taking the total to three options in the range. Let’s take a closer look at what Wilson has to offer in 2025.

The First Look

We’ve got three head shapes in the Dynapwr driver range. There’s the new LS model, the Carbon and the Max. From an aesthetics point of view, they look very clean and with a gloss carbon crown finish.

The three head shapes all differ in size at address with the LS being more compact, the Max being the biggest and the Carbon sitting in between. All three have lots of adjustability in the hosel and sole to fine tune your ideal loft and flight.

The Tech

How do these models differ? Let’s take a closer look at the range.

Wilson Dynapwr LS

Let’s start off with the Wilson Dynapwr LS.  This head shape has been designed to eliminate the left side of the golf course, sitting a little bit open at address, ideal for faster players who turn it over. This compact, tour-inspired shape delivers maximum clubhead speed, control, and adjustability without compromising ball speed.

The aerodynamic shaping allows for a faster, more streamlined raised skirt and curved crown is designed to reduce drag, allowing the head to cut through the air and increase clubhead speed. The deeper, more compact 445cc head provides the ultimate control for the world’s best players, elite amateurs and low handicappers.  Swappable front (6g) and back (12g) weights allow for customisable launch and spin with added forgiveness.

Wilson Dynapwr Carbon

The Wilson Dynapwr Carbon features a lowered crown and a flatter sole. The Wilson Dynapwr Carbon is designed for golfers seeking the ideal balance of workability and forgiveness. With input from Wilson tour staff, the 460cc head provides players forgiveness while still maintaining a compact look at address. The adjustability has swappable front (3g) and back (9g) weights to allow for ideal launch and spin.

Wilson Dynapwr Max

Lastly, the Dynapwr Max is an all-titanium design with a larger footprint, delivering stability and forgiveness on every shot.  The increased front-to-back and heel-to-toe length delivers a higher MOI than ever before for Wilson, ensuring the straightest tee shots possible. The maximum forgiveness and control comes from the flippable (19g) rear weight allowing golfers the ability to fine-tune their left-to-right shot shaping to deliver straighter tee shots.

The bunkered Verdict

With three driver options in this Dynapwr range, there is something for everyone. This is a definite step up once again from the previous Dynapwr generation, which I did like, but there’s something different about these.

Not only do the Wilson drivers look premium, but they perform just as nicely as they look. The ball speeds are great from the PKR-360 Face especially on those mishits. I also love the feel from the titanium face.

The LS, which is a new addition to the range from Wilson, is really low spinning which is great for the high swing speed players. If you want to change the spin and launch you have adjustability as we mentioned in the tech section.

When I tested these drivers at Dundonald Links, the Dynapwr Carbon was a standout with it having the adjustability on the sole and also good levels of forgiveness. It was very easy to hit, and you can have it set to more forgiving or push the weight forward for faster ball speeds.

The Max was impressive, especially if you want to have the most forgiveness in your driver. The draw bias feature is there for those of you who naturally hit it left-to-right.

Overall, these drivers are a brilliant step up from Wilson. Wilson is definitely in the mix when it comes to performance with fast ball speeds, forgiveness and great distance, it will tick a lot of boxes for a lot of golfers. Also, at a slightly lower price point than some of their competitors, these are really appealing. I highly recommend these drivers, so give them a try, go for a fitting and see what you think.
