Sahith Theegala is one of the PGA Tour’s biggest characters, and he’s also one of its top players. But what clubs does Sahith Theegala use?

Despite only having one PGA Tour win under his belt, the American has comfortably ranked inside the top 20 in the world for a long time, with a ninth place at the Masters in 2023 his best finish in a major championship.

When it comes to his equipment, Theegala has been a Ping player since he first came out on tour. When he turned pro in 2020, he had a Ping bag, largely made up of clubs from the manufacturer, too.

Fast forward to 2024 and Theegala is still a Ping player, with all 14 of his clubs coming from the brand.

At the 3M Open, Theegala made an interesting gear change in the form of a new putter. Theegala used a 38 inch Ping PLD Tyne S putter with a counterbalanced grip. That’s a significant change from his regular gamer, the Ping Anser 2 Prototype, which has been in the bag for close to a decade, Theegala told the PGA Tour.

As we expected, it was just a temporary solution, as by the Tour Championship, where Theegala finished in third place, the Ping Anser 2 Prototype was back in play. Sometimes the gamer just needs a spell on the sidelines.

Elsewhere in the bag, it’s largely as we would expect, with most of Ping’s latest gear making up his bag. That includes the Ping G440 range, with the driver and 5-wood making their way into Theegala’s bag for the new year.

Let’s take a closer look at the gear Sahith Theegala has in the bag this year.
