It’s that time of year where golf club manufacturers start launching new products. Most notably, the class of 2025 in drivers is about to hit the shelves.

While we need to wait to officially get a close look at these clubs, the best players in the world are eager to put them in the bag. As soon as a driver, or any club, hits the USGA Conforming List, it’s legal to go in tournament play. And if you’re a tour player who wants to win tournaments, then you’re not going to be worried about breaking an embargo.

That means for the eagle-eyed viewer, you can start to get a glimpse at what’s out there on tour. Thankfully for us, some of the best players on tour are putting them in play.

Let’s take a closer look at some new models spotted on tour.

2025 golf drivers

Cobra Darkspeed Adapt

In the bags of: Jesper Svensson, Sean Crocker, Jens Dantorp

First up, we’ve got Cobra, and an extension of last year’s Darkspeed range. While it’s maintaining the colour scheme (or lack of!) from last year, there are some subtle but important changes that we can see.

Something that is certainly new to us, is a QR code we can see just below the screw for the hosel of this driver. All the details on this will be revealed soon, but it’s certainly interesting innovation from Cobra.

Then, thanks to SMS on Tour, we can also spot an adapter that has not one, but two adjustable dials. Again, we’ll have more details on that soon, but it’s not something we’ve seen before. There’s also some adjustable weighting on the sole of this driver, which also looks to feature some reworked detailing on the clubface.

Plenty of Cobra’s staffers on the DP World Tour are already putting this in play, which is always a good sign.

Wilson Dynapwr

While the Cobra 2025 driver is similar to their 2024 offering in looks, the same can absolutely not be said for Wilson.

As captured by SMS_on_Tour at a DP World Tour driving range, the 2025 Dynapwr driver is a shiny number, and we think it looks great.

There’s no mistaking it’s a Wilson club and it really looks to be carrying a premium feel. A glossy crown, with red details looks sharp. Meanwhile, the design on the face looks like this will frame the ball nicely at address.

Once again, we’ll have the finer details on this in due course, but it’s certainly one to look out for, especially if you’re someone who likes to stray away from some of the bigger names in the driver game.

Srixon ZXi

In the bags of: Hideki Matsuyama, Shane Lowry

The latest offering from Srixon has been on the conforming list for some time now. In that period, two major champions, Hideki Matsuyama and Shane Lowry, have put forms of the club in their bag.

As we can see from GolfWRX, this club has an interesting looking face on it. It’s almost like this driver has a milled face, like a premium putter. We’ll wait for more details on this before any more speculation, but it will be interesting to see how this performs.

On the bottom, it’s a pretty busy design, with some adjustable weights on the sole, along with a glossy strip through the middle of it.

From the top, however, this is a clean look, and there’s no denying it’s a good looking club behind the ball.

If Hideki is putting it in play, then there’s clearly some cracking performance in here too. Of course, you’ll need to wait for an official release for all the details.

What about the rest?

We’re going to see plenty of other brands release new drivers in 2025, but until they are officially released, or tour players start putting them in the bag, there’s nothing else we can say.

When we do know, however, the best place to go is our YouTube channel, where we’ll have reviews, comparisons and head-to-heads of all the latest kit.
