Alongside its new range of metalwoods, Srixon has revealed its new Z65 irons and utility range built with input from Graeme McDowell, Shane Lowry and Hideki Matsuyama.
Featuring three sets of irons plus a utility iron, Srixon says they represent the most innovative and the highest performing clubs Srixon have ever made.
The Z565 irons are geared for players of all abilities and feature a new Tour V.T. sole that allows the clubhead to move even more efficiently through the turf, improving both strike and overall control.
They also feature a high strength face insert for more ball speed, and 5% larger grooves than in the previous model.
The Z765 irons have been designed as a muscle cavity that is preferred by more skilled players.
Boasting a traditional profile, these irons also feature the improved Tour V.T. sole. On top of that, the soft head material is heat treated to give smooth and consistent feel, while the grooves are larger than the previous generation, improving contact in wet conditions for more friction and better control.

The Z965 irons, meanwhile, have a compact muscleback blade design, built for ‘the most advanced, demanding players’.
Like the others, the design features the new Tour V.T. sole, enlarged grooves and a heat-treated face to give what Srixon is calling its best performance ever.
Completing the line is the ZU65 utility irons. Brand new for 2016, it has a hollow construction, allowing weight to be moved lower in the head for a higher initial launch and more overall carry.
This iron design also features some attributes found in the new Z65 metalwoods, namely the Ripple Effect technology. This means that, as well as giving the higher launch, it is also more forgiving.
Srixon says the beauty of this new iron range is that they can be mixed and matched to be custom fit to suit your game. The same iron set can feature a cavity back Z565 4-iron and a muscleback Z965 9-iron.
