Alongside the release of the innovative new R15 metalwoods, TaylorMade has brought its Burner family back to the fore with its new AeroBurner line.

Built for speed, the new AeroBurner driver features a new 460cc aerodynamic shape, designed with a rounder toe, a raised centre crown and a new hosel fin. The new raised centre crown keeps airflow attached longer to the clubhead and reduces drag.

It works with the new Speed Pocket to increase the size of the sweet spot, while reducing spin to help the ball travel further.

Brian Bazzel, TaylorMade’s senior director of metalwood product creation, said: “We’ve drastically improved the performance of the sole’s Speed Pocket and significantly improved the aerodynamics to deliver maximum speed to the golfer.”

The AeroBurner driver is available from January 9, 2015, and will be available in 9.5°, 10.5° and 12° for an RRP of £269.

The new TaylorMade AeroBurner fairway wood also features a new aerodynamic shape with a shallow face, raised centre crown and new hosel fin. Like the driver, it also boasts the new Speed Pocket design, like in the driver, increasing the size of the sweet spot and reduces spin.

Bazzel said: “With our largest Speed Pocket ever, we are now achieving driver-like launch conditions with a fairway wood.

The TaylorMade AeroBurner fairway is available from January 9, 2015 and will be available in 3, 3-HL, 5, 5-HL and 7 option for an RRP of £199.

TaylorMade AeroBurner Rescue

Last, but certainly not least, is the new TaylorMade AeroBurner rescue, which boasts a new aerodynamic shape with a shallow face, raised crown and new hosel fin, just like the AeroBurner fairway and rescue. It also features the new Speed Pocket and a new matte white finish, black PVD face and linear AeroBurner crown graphic, making alignment easy.

“The name Burner has always stood for speed more specifically ball speed. Now we have introduced breakthroughs in aerodynamics to the Burner name that will also help increase clubhead speed,” concluded Bazzel.

The TaylorMade Aeroburner rescue is available from January 9, 2015 and will be available in 3, 4, 5 and 6 options for an RRP of £159.
