TaylorMade’s Hi Toe 4 wedges are hitting the shelves, the latest in the line of the brand’s innovative and popular wedge line-up.
As you’ll see, these are once again a set of full-face wedges, designed to offer golfers lots of versatility around the greens. If you were a fan of the first three editions of these wedges, these are once again going to be strong contenders for your bag.
These wedges are designed to give golfers more confidence in their short game, with control and versatility at a premium.
The Hi Toe 4 wedges feature a larger profile, which will help golfers to gain confidence on shots around the greens. The toe mass pad, which sits at the top of the blade, is visually more pronounced in these wedges compared to previous models.
That helps to give these clubs an elevated centre of gravity, which increases forgiveness on shots that might be struck higher up the face. That’s essential when you’re in a poor lie, where it might not be possible to strike the centre of the club.
From longer shots, you can expect a penetrating, high-spin ball flight, that’s going to be predictable in all conditions, ideal for players who play in rough weather.
That’s aided by TaylorMade’s Spin Tread Technology, which is also in place in TaylorMade’s Milled Grind 4 wedges, but is featuring in the Hi-Toe line for the first time.
The addition of this cutting-edge face finish not only promotes increased friction and spin, it is also designed to displace moisture in wet conditions. Not only will this help players playing in downpours, but also those heading out early and sweeping the dew from the ground.
“Hi Toe wedges are a great option for any player who gains confidence from a wedge with a larger face and full-face grooves to ensure maximum spin regardless of where you strike it on the face.
“Now with Spin Tread Raw face technology and a new array of grinds, the Hi-Toe 4 has more performance and versatility than ever before.”-Matt Bovee, Global Category Director–Irons and Wedges
The Finer Details
TaylorMade Hi Toe 4 wedges come in an array of grinds that will help to cater to a huge range of golfers, no matter your playing style or the conditions you tend to play on.
All Terrain Standard Grind (ATS)
The most versatile and all-encompassing of the Hi-Toe 4 grinds is the ATS. It’s suitable for players that prefer a neutral face angle at address, fits all swing types, and can be used in a wide variety of playing conditions. Its increased four-way camber allows for liberal face manipulation and gives golfers plenty of options to hit different shots with both an open and closed clubface. The ATS grind is available in the full menu of lofts ranging from 50 degree to 60 degree.
All Terrain Versatility Grind (ATV)
Golfers with shallow angles of attack or that play off tight, firm turf are going to benefit from this asymmetric bounce and concave sole. This multifunctional design and increased effective bounce in the open face position allow for plenty of face manipulation and shot versatility. The ATV grind comes in lofts of 56 degree, 58 degree and 60 degree.
All Terrain C Grind (ATC)
The ATC grind offers TaylorMade’s lowest bounce option with its unique, reverse C-sole design. Noticeable heel and toe relief make this grind a trusted choice for shallow players and firm conditions. The ATC grind is available in both 58 degree and 60 degree lofts.
Hi-Toe 4 Wedges will be available for pre-order in stores on August 14 at £149.
