It seems like 2025 might be the year of the mini driver. So, what happens when you combine modern innovation with retro inspiration? You get the TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver.

That’s right. Over 20 years since the release of the original R7 Quad line of metals, TaylorMade has launched the R7 Quad Mini Driver.

The club pays homage to an iconic range of drivers, while creating its own modern identity and, crucially, modern performance on the course.

The team at TaylorMade looked at what had worked in the past and it lead them to 2004 and the R7 and R7 Quad drivers. Interestingly, the original R7 was the first TaylorMade driver to have the brand’s Movable Weight Technology. 21 years on, the new R7 Quad Mini Driver incorporates the same technology, allowing golfers to fine tune their flight, spin and trajectory on the course.

Of course, this club features plenty of new technological advancements, which make it an enticing prospect for your golf bag.

The Infinity Carbon Crown has allowed TaylorMade engineers to minimise mass in the top of the head. This process allows the club to have a low centre of gravity, which promotes a higher ball flight. As well as this, the crown is made with looks in mind, with a clean and elegant profile inspiring confidence.

There’s also several of TaylorMade’s proven technologies in the TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini. Twist Face helps to keep mishits moving in the right direction, while the Speed Pocket helps to increase face flexion, boosting ball speed even on low strikes. Together, these technologies make a club that is forgiving and versatile.

“The R7 Quad Mini Driver is one of those projects that got everyone excited from the initial concept, and being able to bring back one of the most iconic clubs in TaylorMade history was a dream come true. We couldn’t be more excited to continue setting the pace in the Mini Driver category.”-Chandler Carr, TaylorMade Product Manager, Product Creation

The TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver is available from April 15, with an RRP of £399. The mini driver will have two loft options, with 11.5 degrees available in right and left handed. A 13.5 degree head is available in a right-handed option.
