With the British Golf Industry Association releasing figures that show over four million people in the UK are regularly playing golf and many well into old age, Northcroft Golf has come up with some innovative gear that can help you keep playing even if you have a bad back, knee or hip.

Endorsed by 2002 Ryder Cup winning captain Sam Torrance, the BAMP from Northcroft Golf is more than just a ball pick-up; it allows you to mark the ball and lift the marker, too, all without bending, helping those who suffer from a bad back. It has also been specifically designed with a removable rubber cup, which allows easy storage of the putter in the golf bag.

The BAMP fits on any size putter grip and retrieves the ball by simply placing the rubber cup over the ball and applying downward pressure. It effectively and securely lifts the ball from the green or hole so there is no need to stab at the ball. The ball lifter is also designed to clip on and roll off easily so it does not inhibit your putting stroke.

Kevin Bailey, managing director of Northcroft Golf, said: “The BAMP has been introduced to help golfers who struggle to bend perhaps as a result of back, hip or knee problems and are desperate not to have to give up the much loved game and remain fit. It can also benefit all golfers, not just those with bad backs, as it is convenient to use and speeds up the time taken on the green.”
