King Cobra Deep Face (9˚, True Temper Dynamic Gold X100)
Tiger had a Titleist driver in the bag as he turned pro on 1996, but prior to his 1997 Masters victory he decided to switch things up. Minuscule by modern day 4600cc driver standards, the 17-4 stainless steel King Cobra Deep Face driver was a powerful weapon in Tiger’s hands. He blew the field away, averaging 25 yards longer off the tee than the second-longest hitter that week. The era of Tiger-proofing golf courses had begun.
