Titleist has introduced its new 915 family of metalwoods, designed to offer ‘distance without compromise’

Boasting two drivers – a 460cc D2 and 440cc D3 version like its 913 and 910 predecessors – fairway woods and hybrids, this family has been developed to give distance and forgiveness, by reducing spin, increasing ball speed and maintaining launch.

The headline technology is the Active Recoil Channel (ARC), which has been designed to give lower spin and more speed on all shots. As well as its deep and long design, its forward positioning allows its effectiveness to be maximised.

The driver also boasts a Radial Speed Face, giving more speed on off-centre hits thanks to a forged face insert with thinner heel and toe sections. It also features Titleist’s SureFit Tour Hosel tech allowing you to independently adjust loft and lie to optimise your trajectory.

Like the driver, there are two options in the fairway wood – the 915F and 915F.d. This time around Titleist has switched the head sizes compared to how they were in the 913 family, meaning the larger, more confidence inspiring profile can be found in the 915F, while the smaller, more compact, more workable model is the 915F.d.

The 915F has a full pear 175cc profile, and offers up to 3.5mph more club head speed, which ultimately translates into more distance. The 915F.d has a more traditional pear profile, and offers up to 3.2mph more clubhead speed. Both models feature Titleist’s thinnest ever face, measuring just 2mm in thickness the whole way across. It’s made from high strength carpenter steel and works to deliver increased ball speed, even on off-centre hits.

Titleist’s four base technologies in the 915 family are found across the range and the hybrid is no different. It features an Active Recoil Channel, which has been moved slightly further back than in the fairway woods to maintain spin levels for control. It also has the ultra thin high strength face, which is 0.2mm thinner than the 913H.

Within its high MOI design, the centre of gravity has been moved slightly deeper than it is in the 913 family to assist the Active Recoil Channel in maintaining proper spin for trajectory control. It also boasts adjustability in the form of Titleist’s SureFit Tour Hosel.

Titleist 915 metalwoods – pricing and availability

The 915 family will be on sale from November 14, with the driver RRP set at £379, the fairway woods at £220 and hybrids at £205. For more information on the full range, log-on to titleist.co.uk
