The new Titleist GT driver has been incredibly popular since hitting the tour and here is what we know so far.

It comes as no surprise Titleist’s new driver has become very popular on tour which is a great sign ahead of its public release in August.

With The Titleist GT Driver being unveiled at the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club, 13 players made the immediate switch – always a good indication that a driver means business.

More than 44 players put it in their bag at the The Rocket Mortgage Classic and that number is only increasing from tournament to tournament.

At last week’s BMW International Open, Titleist was the most played driver with 55 in play. Of those, 34 were the new Titleist GT models.

Eleven players made the move to a NEW GT driver for the first time this week, including the 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed, who put a NEW GT3 8.0 driver in the bag.

Not only that, but Scotland’s Ewen Ferguson is back in the winner’s circle after after an impressive performance in Munich.

Ferguson who was also gaming the new Titleist GT3 driver, secured his third DPWT title which also punched his ticket to the 2024 Open at Royal Troon.

He ranked T10 in driving accuracy (64%) over three measured rounds in Germany. The champion was one of 28 players to put a GT driver in play at the KLM Open two weeks ago, the first week GT drivers were available on the DP World Tour.

Like Ferguson, many other pros have seen an improvement in their driving over the last couple months. At the Travellers Championship, 6 of the top 12 were playing GT drivers and Tom Kim, Cameron Young, and Brian Harman had their best driving rounds of the year.

It looks great in shape and the adjustable weighting appears to have changed from the previous generation, but we can’t wait to get this in our hands and test it out. Stay tuned our review will be coming out in August.
