It’s important to have enough gear in your wardrobe to protect you from the wintery weather – and Under Armour have always excelled in this department.
The brand’s new autumn-winter 2024 range is no different.
Following on from the success of its UA Drive golf shoes – launched earlier this year – the new apparel will, according to Under Armour, “offer golfers modern silhouettes in new fabrications for maximum comfort, as well as the elevated performance and protection from the rain and cold”.
Shall we take a closer look?
What’s in the new UA Drive apparel line?
Headlining Under Armour’s latest cold-weather range is the UA Drive Midlayer (RRP £65).
This is available in a crewneck style…
…as a hoodie…
…a quarter-zip pullover…
…and in a women’s model.
All four midlayers are available in a variety of colourways, and are a “must-have for golfers that want a clean, simple design that delivers a super-luxe fit and feel”.
There is also a return for the popular UA Drive Storm Sweaterfleece (RRP £65).
Under Armour says this “offers a modern take on one of the brand’s biggest franchises in golf apparel, using subtle styling details to the zip, cuffs and logo applications, plus woven overlays treated with Storm protection”.
In the outerwear section, Under Armour have added the UA Drive Pro Insulated Jacket (RRP £120), which is also available in a sleeveless Vest version (RRP £100).
UA says it “offers the most protection from the cold through a combination of UA ColdGear Infrared to the interior lining and recycled insulation materials”. It also “features quilting panels and hybrid blocking, as well as new metallic logo details to deliver an elevated look. Both the jacket and vest also feature full-zippered hand pockets to stash your essentials”.
There is also a UA Drive Pro Storm Lightweight Insulated Jacket (RRP: £100) which also comes in a Vest version (RRP £80).
“Using a durable stretch woven fabric with octafleece liner, which feels lighter and keeps you warmer, these garments also use UA Storm technology to repel water and without sacrificing breathability,” Under Armour explains. “Both pieces also utilise the metallic silver trim package across the zipper and logos, tying into the elevated look and feel of the other items in the Drive Pro outerwear range.”
And finally, there is the new UA Drive Pro Storm Hybrid Full-Zip (RRP £90) and Half-Zip (RRP £80).
Under Armour says this is “perhaps the biggest update to the range” and the hybrid jackets “are now 70% warmer while being 33% lighter” than its predecessor.
It adds: “Utilising a hybrid design, Storm Daytona Spacer fabrication and a Storm stretch woven fabric are paired with lightweight insulation in different zones to optimise fit, warmth, comfort and performance.”
Below the belt, the men’s range features the Drive Pants (RRP £60) and Matchplay Joggers (£55), while women can strut their stuff in the Drive Flare Pants (£75).
The full autumn-winter 2024 collection is, of course, complemented by a selection of seasonal accessories, including gloves, mitts, caps and winter headwear.
