Under Armour has launched a new Gold Edition of their Drive Pro Series golf shoes for the Spring/Summer 2025 season.
Under Armour are celebrating the success of the Drive Pro Series by kicking off 2025 with a striking gold edition colourway in both the Drive Pro Spiked and Drive Pro SL models.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Drive Pro Series, these shoes are designed to deliver superior traction, stability, and comfort, with performance benefits that is validated through live data testing.
With this testing there were gains seen in clubhead speed, ball speed, and carry distance, which make you release how important your footwear is on the course.
The Three Layer System
The Swing Support System is a three-layer structure developed with world-renowned biomechanist JJ Rivet. This ensures a 360-degree foot lockdown, optimising both lateral and medial stability. The UA HOVR foam and Charged Cushioning enhance responsiveness and provide essential support, guiding the foot’s natural motion throughout the golf swing for increased power and control.

PGA Tour Success
The Drive Pro Series is making an impact across professional tours. On the PGA Tour, Jordan Spieth and Maverick McNealy trust the Drive Pro, with McNealy securing his first PGA Tour victory at the RSM Classic and earning three top-10 finishes in early 2025, including a runner-up at the Genesis Invitational.
Performance data
The PGA Show Demo Day put the Drive Pro Series to the test, delivering performance data that validated its game-changing impact. Over 50 testers saw an average increase of 11 yards in total carry, 2.5 mph in clubhead speed, and 4mph in ball speed compared to their previous footwear. This breakthrough showcases the shoe’s ability to optimise power and control—reinforcing Under Armour’s position at the forefront of golf footwear innovation.
