Did you know that Elderslie was the birthplace of William Wallace? Well, now you do. And that's just one of the reasons why a round at Elderslie Golf Club comes so highly recommended.
Situated just to the west of Paisley in rural Renfrewshire, this is a terrific place to play. For one thing, you've got stunning views. On a clear day, you can see towards the Kilpatrick Hills and Ben Lomond from the seventh and ninth greens. Gleniffer Braes provides the backdrop from the tenth tee, whilst a brilliant panorama over Glasgow and towards the Campsies greets players on the 12th and 13th holes.
The quality of the course is another huge selling point. It is maintained to painstaking, impeccable standards, whilst the greens are absolutely tremendous, so there's no excuse for not holing putts.
The value for money, the friendly welcome and, frankly, everything else combines to make a visit to Elderslie a memorable one that you'll be keen to repeat.
