adidas Tour360 boost

Adidas Golf has unveiled the next generation of its popular Tour360 shoe and it has received a major boost.

For the last ten years, the Tour360 shoe designs have proven popular with golfers around the world, and the latest model is the most advanced yet.

The newest design, Tour360 boost, features full-length boost cushioning that runs in both the forefoot and the heel to give maximum comfort out on the course, while the 360WRAP saddle, which the family name comes from, is lighter and more flexible.

More support and traction is given by the new Torsion Tunnel technology, which also allows the heel and forefoot to flex independently of each other.

“Our challenge in creating the next generation was living up to the Tour360 name.” – Masun Denison, adidas Golf’s director of footwear

“Tour360 broke ground when it hit the market in 2005,” said Masun Denison, director of footwear at adidas Golf. “Our challenge in creating the next generation was living up to the Tour360 name. We took everything we’ve learned in the last ten years including visual cues from prior models while utilising materials and construction innovation to take the Tour360 boost to the next level. It’s a culmination of years of technology, testing, insights and athlete feedback.”

The design also features ten spikes on the sole to ensure stability on the course, while the new heel shape has been inspired by shoes from adidas’ training and running categories,  allowing it to adapt to the contour of the foot for improved fit.

Dustin Johnson wears Tour360 on the PGA Tour and he says he can’t wait to wear the new boost models in 2016.

“I’ve always been a fan of the Tour360 footwear,” said Johnson. “I have great memories wearing them during key wins throughout my career and I’m looking forward to getting them back on my feet next season.”

The Tour360 boost will also come in a Boa version from February, utilising the Boa closure system on the tongue to lock you foot into the shoe without the need for laces.

Adidas Tour360 boost – pricing and availability

Available from January 8, 2016, the Tour360 boost will be offered in six colours and in medium or wide widths at an RRP of £139.99. Tour360 Boa boost will be on sale from February 1 2016, in three colours with an RRP of £159.99.
