BIG MAX

Big Max has launched a new electric cart series – named Quad – to the UK market, promising to match the robust innovation of its current push cart offer.

The first two carts in the Quad range – the Hunter Quad (RRP £699) and Coaster Quad Brake (RRP £799) – use technology with proven reliability in the international market and innovation with which the brand has become renowned.

“We knew that any electric carts we introduced had to match the quality and innovation expected from Big Max products,” said managing director Ian Waddicar. “The Quad series more than lives up to those expectations and we’re delighted to be able to provide a fantastic Big Max electric cart for customers who already love our bags and push trolleys.”

Both carts, as the Quad name suggests, use a four-wheel base, providing extreme stability, while rotating front wheels offer superb manoeuvrability and lock in place when needed for a smoother ride.

Whisper quiet 230V motor and lithium battery as standard provide all the power needed to tackle any course, with the detail equally impressive, featuring: controlled distance function up to 60 yards, speed setting, battery level and distance measurement all shown on the colour electronic display positioned on the height adjustable handle.

The handle also houses a GPS holder along with a compartment for a solar charger that will trickle charge all a golfer’s electronic gadgets. Big Max believe the Hunter Quad surpasses most electric carts in the market, while the Coaster Quad Brake builds on that, as it incorporates an electronic parking brake and a differential gearbox that regulates the speed of the trolley to walking pace as it heads downhill.

Big Max has also improved its Autofold model with the new Autofold FF (RRP £239). Pioneers of Fold Flat technology, the push cart folds flat in one swift movement with its three wheels automatically folding under the body of the cart and fixing in place.

While the Autofold FF is incredibly compact making it a perfect fit for a car boot, lying on the parcel shelf of virtually any car, it also benefits from a host of other features, including the stability and adjustability to take the largest of Tour bags, an organiser panel, a footbrake for secure stops and a height adjustable handle.
