Cobra King F7 One Length

Bryson DeChambeau brought his single length iron concept to the masses when he turned pro earlier this year.

Now, Cobra is looking to capitalise on that interest with the new Cobra King F7 One Length irons.

After his win at the DAP Championship on the Web.com Tour, DeChambeau told Golf Digest: “I knew I was carrying the torch of one-length clubs, but I knew it was going to prove itself out in the end. The game is due for a change. Irons haven’t really changed in 20 years, probably more.”

Fast-forward just over a month and Cobra has shown now is the time for that ‘change’ with the official reveal of its new Cobra King F7 One Length and Cobra King F7 Forged One Length irons.

Every Cobra King F7 One Length iron has been built with 7-iron length and weighting. They’ve also all been designed with ‘optimised geometry’ to give consistent trajectory and distance gapping from long irons through to wedges.

Cobra’s research found these irons to have a real impact on people’s game, too. Accuracy, distance and dispersion were all improved across the board by the testers.

It also found the Cobra King F7 One Length irons simplified the set-up for players and led to more centre face impacts, as they could put the same swing on every club.

When it comes to technology, the standard Cobra King F7 One Length irons are very similar to the other King F7 irons in the new family

They feature Cobra’s TECFLO technology that has allowed each iron to be built with the best performance characteristics for each loft.

The new PWRSHELL face introduces a thinner face and sole structure to increase the size of the sweetspot, resulting in more distance and forgiveness.

The Thin, Optimised and Personalised (T.O.P.) badge also aids added distance and forgiveness. Lighter than steel, it allows more weight to be moved lower in the head. KING Forged Tour One Length - Hero

The Cobra King F7 Forged One Length irons, meanwhile, are aimed at the better player. It differs from the standard One Length irons as it uses a five-step forging process that it says ‘ensures precise iron shaping and unparalleled feel’.

These irons feature 100% CNC Milled face and grooves to give maximum spin and control over your ball flight.

The 4-iron to 7-iron feature tungsten weighting to give a lower and more centred CG with the 4-iron to 8-iron boasting a TPU insert behind the hitting zone for better feel.

“I approach the game of golf a lot differently than most,” said DeChambeau. “I have a more technical, unique swing than many other players, but there is a misconception that single-length irons are only for a single-plane swing like mine.

“That is simply not true. Regardless of how you swing and what your skill level is, you can benefit from the simplicity of a constant length set of irons.”
