FootJoy has kept everyone waiting, teasing us with a new part of the shoe each week, but the FootJoy D.N.A. shoe has now been unveiled to the world.

The new FootJoy D.N.A shoe – which stands for DryJoys Next Advancement – offers the ideal combination of comfort, fit, stability and cushioning that makes these shoes the brand’s most comprehensive feature filled shoe date.

“To create the most feature-laden golf shoe in our history, we needed to explore the anatomy, or DNA, of our premium footwear products and then scrutinise each and every aspect throughout the design and development process,” said Doug Robinson, FootJoy’s vice president of design and development worldwide.

“Each material and component was carefully considered in order to deliver a shoe with lightweight stability, a custom-like fit, superior feel and ultimate performance.”

The lightweight stability arrives in the form of the NitroThin TPU (ThermoPlastic Urethane) outsole. It helps the FootJoy D.N.A. shoe to rank among the best in the stability stakes, with levels similar to those found in the XPS-1, which led the way in that area of the market. The stealth cleats mean you can remain low to the ground and FootJoy has moved the spike at the front towards the edge to

Cushioning and comfort in the FootJoy D.N.A. shoeis given by the combination of the Xtra-Thick FTF FitBed and 3D FoamCollar. The FTF (Fine-Tuned Foam) FitBed is used throughout the interior midsole to give your foot cushioning in all areas. This creates an extremely comfortable shoe that also fights against fatigue in your feet during a round.

“To create the most feature-laden golf shoe in our history, we needed to explore the anatomy, or DNA, of our premium footwear products” – Doug Robinson, FootJoy’s VP of design and development worldwide.

In terms of look, the FootJoy D.N.A. is extremely stylish. Finding the right balance between performance and looks is difficult but FootJoy has managed it with expert precision. You have six different colour options to choose from in the FootJoy D.N.A., meaning they can suit all different styles on the course.
