It’s so cold in the northern reaches of Uummannaq that people have to concentrate on just staying alive. It is here, amid minus 50-degree temperatures that the World Snow Golf Championship is held. The ‘course’, which changes year to year, is played on the frozen seascape between glaciers and icebergs with a risk of attracting the attention of polar bears.
