Patrick Reed vs Jordan Spieth

In the wake of the USA’s resounding Ryder Cup defeat, Reed – who lost both his fourball matches alongside Tiger Woods – took aim at Spieth, blaming the three-time major winner for breaking up their successful partnership of 2014 and 2016. “The issue’s obviously with Jordan not wanting to play with me,” he said. “I don’t have any issue with Jordan. Every day, I saw ‘Leave your egos at the door,’” referring to signs displayed in the US team room. “They [the Europeans] do that better than us.” After being denied the opportunity to speak at the post-event press conference, Reed added: “I was looking at him [Spieth] like I was about to light the room up like Phil in ’14.”
