Sergio Garcia celebrates his 36th birthday on Saturday and over the past 12 months, he’s become a bit of a hero on Twitter for taking down his detractors in emphatic fashion.

The Spaniard is adored by most on this side of the Atlantic for his Ryder Cup heroics and commitment to the European Tour but over in the USA, it’s a stark contrast.

Comments made towards Tiger Woods in 2013 confirmed his ‘pantomime villain’ status, which was evident at this year’s Players Championship when he was unfairly heckled throughout his final round.

And when his trolls come out to play, Garcia is quick to embarrass them and shoot them down in style as these four tweets show!

And he sure took this guy to town after the Players Championship and when we looked to see what he’d tweeted Sergio throughout the conversation, it looked as though this particular troll had played the coward by deleting all of his tweets. Shame.
