The R&A announced today that additional spots to the 151st Open will be available through Final Qualifying.

Final Qualifying will take place over four venues, Burnham & Berrow, Dundonald Links, Royal Cinque Ports and West Lancashire, on 4 July.

This year, a minimum of 16 spots will be available, as opposed to the 12 that were on offer last year.

A total of 34 places are also available through 15 professional events being played around the world on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and Sunshine Tour.
