Three courses and a whole host of big names head for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
It’s the second and last of Scotland’s mainstream tour events for the season, but it’s unlike any other.
That’s because stars of the sports and entertainment world get in on the act for the annual Pro-Am team competition.
Gareth Bale, Sir Anthony McCoy and Kevin Pietersen are among the celebrities competing across the three venues this year.
That means two separate competitions unravel at the Dunhill – an individual professional tournament boasting a $5 million purse, and a team championship pairing pros with amateurs.
Matt Fitzpatrick scooped both titles last year and will return to defend alongside Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry.
There is plenty of LIV Golf interest, too. Brooks Koepka, Tyrrell Hatton and Jon Rahm headline a 14-strong charge of breakaway stars.
The event itself has been held annually since 1937 and comprises a 54-hole cut, with the Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns enjoying rounds on Thursday. Friday and Saturday.
After the rotation, the Old Course will crown winners on Sunday.

Rory McIlroy 13/2
The Northern Irishman is yet to finish outside the top two on the DP World Tour this season and remains in peak form. He’s had a week off after the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and was T4 on his last appearance in the Dunhill in 2022. Having dad Gerry alongside for the team competition this week will have McIlroy feeling even more confident, too.
