American Golf events to air on Sky Sports

AMERICAN GOLF

The grand finals of American Golf’s Long Drive Championship, Junior Championship and 9 Hole Championship have been scheduled to air on Sky Sports 4 in the coming weeks.


With the aim of getting more people playing more golf, this summer’s American Golf Championships brought together regional qualifiers from all over the UK & Ireland to showcase the best in golf. Combining incredible competition and entertaining formats, the golfing public can now live through the highs and lows of the competitions with a series of 30-minute and hour-long programmes on Sky Sports.

First to air is the Long Drive Championship, where competitors battled through the torrential rain at the American Golf National Academy for a spot at the World Long Drive Finals in the USA.

Following that is the Junior Championship, which witnessed the stars of tomorrow displaying true talent and sportsmanship at Ping’s HQ - Gainsborough GC. Finally, the American Golf 9 Hole Championship saw high quality and fierce competition in the short form of the game.

Building on the success of this year’s tournaments, American Golf will be adding more events to the 2016 schedule.
