Two of Scottish sport’s finest will team up for the first time next week.
Andy Murray has made it his mission to conquer the fairways after his magical career on the tennis court and will now team up with Robert MacIntyre in his first golf event.
Murray, who is attempting to get down to a scratch handicap in retirement, will tee it up with MacIntyre at the BMW PGA Championship Pro-am at Wentworth on Wednesday 18 September.

“He’s been absolutely dedicated to tennis during his incredible career, but it looks like he’s been playing plenty of golf since his retirement, so I’m looking forward to seeing if all that practice has paid off!”

The 37-year-old bio on X used to read: “I play tennis.” Now it reads: “I played tennis. Now I play golf.”
He has regularly been spotted on the course with his doubles partner Dan Evans since stepping away from the court and has already been asking for swing tips during his road to scratch on social media.
MacIntyre, meanwhile, will be part of a world class field at Wentworth after a heroic season that included victories in the Canadian and Scottish Opens.
The Oban man’s Ryder Cup teammates Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry are also playing in the Surrey showpiece from September 19-22.
