Anthony Kim’s social media presence since his return to the limelight has raised a few eyebrows.

Whether it’s current affairs or politics, Kim is not afraid to speak his mind when posting to his new X account.

Of course that is also the case when it comes to the sport in which he has made a handsome living. And Kim has often found himself as the defensive mouthpiece for LIV Golf, the tour which brought him back from the wilderness earlier this year.

And even with the season over and the Presidents Cup upon us, that is no different.

The 19th edition of the biennial battle between the US and International teams takes place at Royal Montreal this week, and while Kim was quick to offer his congratulations to those who got the nod, he was also keen to point out those that are missing.

With the Presidents Cup being a PGA Tour owned and sanctioned event, those contracted to LIV Golf are not permitted to play. That means, most notably, the likes of Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Cam Smith and Joaquin Niemann are ineligible.

And Kim, who played in the 2009 Presidents Cup and returned three points from a possible four as the USA ran out 19½-14½ winners, posted: “Would be even better with the LIV Golf League players that deserve to be there.

“But still a special event and accomplishment.”

Then, in a bizarre dig at Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee, presumably at the fact he never played in the tournament, Kim added: “Ask ‘Ramble Shamlee’, he can walk you through what you will be feeling.”

It continues the social media feud between the two.

In May, Kim labelled Chamblee a “p*ssy” and a “talentless fool” who is “disliked by most people in the golf world”, before the 62-year-old responded to tell Kim that his take was “innacurate” and “ironic” and “it’s clear that you were not offered disability for your pithy takes”.

Kim later said he stood by his views.

Expect this one to rumble on…
