For the first time since the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2012, Anthony Kim has made a cut at a professional golf tournament.
The American enigma, who made a shock return from a 12-year recluse to join the LIV Golf League this season, has been struggling for form after an unprecedented period away from the game.
Kim did not win a point throughout the LIV season and finished in the drop zone, but his status as a wildcard meant he was not relegated and he can return to the Saudi-backed breakaway in 2025.

It is understood he is likely to play again on LIV in some capacity next year, but while his future is uncertain, he has been playing this week in the International Series Qatar on the Asian Tour.
He shot 71-72 in the opening round to make the cut by two shots at the Doha Golf Club.
And despite his doubters, Kim feels he will soon be ready to compete for titles once more.
“Contending on Sundays,” Kim told Gulf News when asked about his goals for 2025.
“I know a lot of people have probably seen my last year and don’t think that’s possible [contending on Sundays], but I think it’s going to happen. I 100% believe in myself, and I think it’s just a matter of time.

“Obviously, the results aren’t what I wanted so far, but I think I am ahead of schedule.”
“I’m working with more focus than I ever have. When I played professionally in my 20s, I didn’t know what I was doing, how to prepare, or how to practice – I know all of these things now after taking such a long time away from the game.
“I think that’s the benefit of not having played, is watching and analysing what I did before. I made so many mistakes before, and I’m trying to clean that up now.”
