Scottie Scheffler will play defending champion (again!) at this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational.
It’s the fourth Signature Event of the 2025 PGA Tour season and will take place at the iconic Bay Hill Club & Lodge, in Orange County, Florida.
While there are only 72 players in the limited field event, Scheffler will face stiff competition from Rory McIlroy and the returning Xander Schauffele.
Last year’s two-time major champ will make his first start since The Sentry in January after aggrevating a rib injury.
They’ll contest a $20 million purse, with $4 million heading home with the winner, as well as 700 FedEx Cup points.
One man not in the field, however, is Jordan Spieth. The 2015 Masters champ was denied a sponsors exemption and said this week that he should’ve played better ‘injured golf’…

The bunkered Bet
Justin Thomas 25/1
The star-studded field means Thomas’ odds are heightened this week, and he’s trending towards a win. Three top tens in five starts have been more like it for the American, who has a particularly strong record in Florida. Approach is key at Bay Hill and JT can capitalise on that.
Please gamble responsibly.
