Dubai has rapidly become one of the world’s premier golf destinations.

Golf courses in the UAE thrive due to the climate and vast desert landscapes, so it’s no wonder so many flock here for a game.

It’s one of the biggest players in golf tourism and boasts a growing portfolio of world-class courses.

Here are some of our favourites…

The Earth Course

Green fee: From £178

Host of the DP World Tour Championship, the Earth Course is Jumeirah Golf Estate’s crown jewel. Inspired by parkland setups in Europe and North America, it is built specifically for championship golf. The standard will blow you away, making it worth the lofty green fee.

The Fire Course

Green fee: From £148

If you play the Earth Course, make it a Jumeirah double with the Fire Course. No trip to Dubai is complete without a round here, a more refined layout than its neighbour. Large terracotta bunkers and narrow fairways steal the show at this highly underrated venue.

Trump International Golf Club

Green fee: From £170

Located in Damac Hills, this is Dubai’s unrivalled luxury golf experience. Links-like setups are uncommon in the Middle East, while the state-of-the-art facilities combine to make it unmissable. The main 18-hole course weaves its way through a massive residential project and holes ten to 18 can be played under LED lights.

The Els Club

Green fee: From £120

A desert links-style course that was designed by, you guessed it, four-time major champion Ernie Els. After opening in 2007, it became an instant classic and gets plenty of praise due to the contemporary design and traditional features.

Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

Green fee: From £134

The pros have fallen in love with the host of the Dubai Desert Classic, and you will too. A sporting oasis in the heart of the city, with palm trees, coconut trees and water hazards lining the immaculate fairways – what more could you ask for? The clubhouse captures everything good about golf in Dubai.
