Camiral Golf & Wellness
Green fee: From €143
Formerly PGA Catalunya, it doesn’t get much better than the stunning Camiral Resort. The Stadium Course is consistently ranked among the best in Europe, while the views of the Costa Brava countryside are breathtaking. It’s hosted the Spanish Open three times and takes inspiration from TPC Sawgrass.

Club de Golf Vallromanes
Green fee: From €77
On the outskirts of Barcelona is Vallromanes, a short, tight track that was designed in 1972. Sloped landing areas and multi-tiered greens will leave you with your work cut out, but when you can start and end your day in the mansion-like clubhouse, there’s nothing to complain about. Undoubtedly one of the best spots in the Catalonia region.

La Hacienda Links
Green fee: From €169
Along the southern coast in Spain, La Hacienda has reaped the rewards of a significant renovation in 2023. Now a links-style course, it’s dubbed Spain’s very own Pebble Beach, with mind blowing views, undulating fairways and tricky putting surfaces. A par 72 you’ll want to play over and over again.

La Reserva Club
Green fee: From €230
La Reserva is the newest course at Sotogrande, one of the most popular golf retreats in the world. Numerous water hazards and wide, sweeping fairways make this one of the best championship courses around. It boasts stunning views, as well, thanks to the fact it’s carved into the hillside. A relatively new track but a must-visit, nonetheless.

Real El Prat
Green fee: From €120
The Pink Course at El Prat – designed by Greg Norman – is reportedly the two-time Open champion’s favourite. It might be yours soon, too, with 18 holes of immaculate golf. With roots dating back to 1912, it’s one of few clubs to have been granted royal patronage by King Alfonso XIII and features a mix of plunging tree-lined fairways and pristine white bunkers.

El Saler
Green fee: From €95
A five-star course on the shores of the Mediterranean, El Saler is well-regarded, to say the least. A unique layout with umbrella pines and towering sand dunes, the 18-holer has a Scottish links-feel in places and a continental European vibe, too. If you’re in Valencia, stop off here.
