The finishing line is in sight for many of the top PGA Tour pros.

After another gruelling season, the FedEx Cup play-offs are here.

Over the last few weeks and months, players have been jockeying for position, with the top 70 in the standings playing there way in.

The top 50 players after the FedEx St. Jude Championship will then qualify for the BMW Championship, where the top 30 after that will head to East Lake for the Tour Championship.

It went right down to the wire at the Wyndham Championship, the final regular season Tour event, where one shot separated two play-off hopefuls.

7 players who could miss out on the PGA Tour play-offs

Rickie Fowler

Fowler knew before the Wyndham Championship that he wouldn’t make it into the season-enders. Despite being a six-time winner, the 35-year-old hasn’t teed it up since The Open in July. Three missed cuts in his last six dented any Tour Championship hopes he was clinging on to, with Fowler ending the season as low as number 106.

Luke List

At number 74 on the standings, List’s season is over. He’s a two-time winner and won the Sanderson Farms Championship last October but has missed the cut on 12 of his last 17 starts, including eight of the last nine. He needed a result at the Wyndham Championship but his hopes were dashed by Friday.

Davis Riley

There’s an argument to be had for winners earning a place in the play-offs. Riley won the Charles Schwab Challenge in May, swatting Scottie Scheffler aside by five strokes. But the 27-year-old entered last week as number 71 and ended there, as he fell one shot short of Victor Perez, who made it on the number. Only seven points split the pair over the season.

Nicolai Hojgaard

One of the dozen winning Ryder Cup men in October, the Dane would have loved to make the play-offs in his first season of holding a PGA Tour card. Consistent enough in making cuts, but nothing to shout home about since a second-place finish in January. He finished number 81 after not teeing it up at the 3M Open and missing the cut at the Wyndham Championship.

Matt Kuchar

A dramatic end to the regular season for Matt Kuchar, who was the only player to finish his final round at the Wyndham Championship on Monday. Playing into darkness, the nine-time Tour winner decided to walk off the course in bizarre fashion, as Aaron Rai won his maiden title. With a top-20 finish, Kuchar made a decent leap, one not big enough to make the play-offs, though.

Lucas Glover

The 2009 US Open champ stole the headlines when winning two on the bounce this time last year. Glover claimed the Wyndham Championship and the FedEx St. Jude Championship one week later, but finished this season at number 77. He missed the cut at both Open’s in Scotland last month before the same result sealed his fate last weekend.
