Brooks Koepka has revealed he has split with his longtime swing coach Claude Harmon III ahead of the start of the 2025 season.

The five-time major champion confirmed the update to Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch.

“Pete Cowen and Jeff Pierce will be handling everything golf-related,” he said.

Cowen and Pierce have been responsible for Koepka’s short game and putting in recent years, but Harmon III was the American’s full swing instructor before this latest parting of ways.

Harmon III, the son of Tiger Woods’ legendary former coach Butch, first started working with Koepka back when he was emerging as a talent over in Europe on the Challenge Tour back in 2013.

He oversaw Koepka’s rise from obscurity to world No.1, via four major championships and eight victories on the PGA Tour.

The duo did split in 2020, but were reunited in June 2022 as Koepka sought Harmon’s advice again with his swing.

Koepka’s resurgence under Harmon III saw him claim his fifth major, the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in 2023. But the pair have separated again after a second stint that lasted two-and-a-half years.

“Yes, not working with him,” Harmon III told Golfweek.

“Proud of the things we did together when I came back at the back end of 2022.”

Harmon III still works with Koepka’s LIV Golf rival Dustin Johnson, while his past students also include major champions Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Trevor Immelman and Darren Clarke.

Koepka, meanwhile, will make his first start of 2025 in LIV’s season-opener in Riyadh next month.

The 34-year-old has finalised his Smash GC quartet for the new campaign, which will include Graeme McDowell, Jason Kokrak and Talor Gooch.
