Callaway launches new film to celebrate return of golf season

Callaway Golf Europe has today unveiled a new film, Get Sprung, as golfers across Europe prepare for spring weather.

Narrated by tennis legend and keen golfer, Andy Murray, the equipment giant’s latest ambassador, the film captures the frustrations of being stuck indoors during the wet and cold Winter months while itching to get back onto the fairways.

Bringing the film to life are a cast of huge names, including the ForeBrothers (Patrick, Ronan and Declan Moloney), Inci Mehmet, Trey Niven, and George Blackshaw.

All, of course, share the desire for longer days, better weather, and the perfect conditions to finally get back on the course. They are joined on screen by Callaway Staffer, two-time major winner and Olympic gold medallist, Xander Schauffele, who is inducing envy from the Europeans as he enjoys golf in sunnier climes.

“With Get Sprung, we wanted to acknowledge golfers’ frustrations at bad weather, muddy courses and waterlogged greens, and the anticipation that builds as the days grow longer and you finally have the golf season in front of you,” says Chris Gregg, Marketing Director, Callaway Golf Europe.

“This is a tribute to golfers across Europe who have been eagerly awaiting the clocks going forward, meaning the return of post-work nine holes, short-sleeved rounds, and those crisp 7am tee times with friends.”

Made in collaboration with Callaway Golf Europe’s agency MSQ Sport + Entertainment with creative and production by Homeground, the film will be accompanied by follow-up content on Callaway’s social media channels, featuring behind-the-scenes footage that offers viewers an exclusive look at the high-level production behind Get Sprung.

The @CallawayGolfEU Instagram account will also soon launch a competition, giving followers the chance to win a season starter pack, including Callaway Chrome Tour Golf Balls, Tour Authentic Gloves, and a round of golf on the Old Course at St Andrews.
