Jeeno Thitikul made an eagle-birdie to finish to claim the biggest prize in women’s golf on Sunday.
In a dramatic finale at the LPGA’s season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, Thailand’s Thitikul’s stunning finish edged out Angel Yin by one shot at Tiburon Golf Club in Florida.
The victory was worth a record $4million, which is more than what is given to the winner of the five women’s majors.
It means Thitikul, with two wins, tops the LPGA money list over seven-time winner Nelly Korda, who finished in a tie for 16th.
